Hall Effect Sensors

The sensor works by supplying a constant current to a semiconductor. Exposing the semiconductor to a magnetic field causes a voltage to be produced across the semiconductor.  A digital Hall Effect Sensor has a comparator connected to the output such that a change in output voltage does not occur until a certain minimum magnetic flux has been reached.
